Youtube Introduces More Ways To Make Money Through The Platform

3 December 19

Youtube has always been a great platform for content creators to make money, but now they’re upping their game even more, making advertising certainly not the only way to make money.

Following the success of Super Chat – an option that allows viewers to pay to have their comments displayed during a creator’s live stream – Youtube just introduced a similar new feature called Super Stickers. Currently, more than 90,000 channels use the Super Chat feature, some of which earn more than $400 a minute with it! Now, the new Super Stickers features may up the revenue of content creators even more.

Another new feature they introduced is Learning Playlists, which was created with an educational purpose. Now, educational content creators will be able to divide their videos into chapters, making it easier for viewers to understand the key concepts.

Youtube also introduced a little change to memberships: levels. Up until now, there was only the option to subscribe to a channel for $4.99 and get special perks, such as exclusive access to special live streams, shout-outs, new emojis, and so on. Now, creators will be able to have up to five membership levels, offering different perks for each one of them.

And that’s not all! One more great new thing coming to Youtube is that it’s expanding its Merch shelf feature. Up until now, creators could sell merchandise – such as t-shirts, hats, and phone case – with the help of Youtube’s partner Teespring. Now, Youtube has teamed up even more companies, including Crowdmade, DFTBA, Fanjoy, Represent and Rooster Teeth, opening up even more opportunities for merchandise sales.

It’s a good time to be a content creator!
