How to write effective emails

Emails have been an effective communication tool for businesses for quite some time now. However, it’s essential for these emails to be well-written if you want them to drive the results you need. Here are some tips you can use to ensure your emails are all clear and effective.
Subject lines are important
Subject lines are the first things that readers see before opening an email. And let’s be honest, we all get tons of emails every day, and some are left unopened. If you want your reader to open your email, try to write something that will catch their eye immediately. At the same time, make sure the subject line isn’t misleading and meets its expectations in the body of the email.
Keep it short
A good rule of thumb is to try to keep your emails short. In some cases, it’s necessary to have long emails, and that’s okay. However, in most cases, try not to beat around the bush and get straight to the point. This way, the reader will be more likely to read through the whole email.
Make it skimmable
If you opened an email and it was just a big block of text, would you enjoy reading that? Not really. That’s why it’s important to keep paragraphs short, use bold/italics, use bullet points – anything that will make it more appealing to the eye and easier to comprehend.
Never send out emails without proofreading them beforehand! This cannot be emphasized enough, as emails with mistakes just look sloppy and unprofessional. Ideally, ask a colleague to read through your email because sometimes you can miss your own mistakes.
