Amazon Plans To Train 29 Million People In Cloud Computing By 2025

21 January 21

Amazon recently announced that they are planning to train 29 million people in cloud computing by 2025. The training will be free, designed for people of all levels of knowledge in more than 200 countries and territories.

How will this training look, you ask? Well, along with the training opportunities from the existing Amazon Web Services (AWS) programs, they will also offer a wide range of newly created training courses, including everything from basic online courses to intensive upskilling programs.

“We are building out our library of more than 500 free courses, interactive labs, and virtual day-long training sessions. Individuals looking to learn about cloud technology at their own pace have two robust resources in AWS Training and Certification and AWS Educate,” said Teresa Carlson, Vice President of Worldwide Public Sector at Amazon, in a statement.

This training will be a great opportunity for people from all around the globe to grow their technical skills and even find employment. Many people have already benefited from Amazon’s training programs, not only learning lots of new skills but also being provided with new career opportunities afterward. For example, Caleb Jarrett completed the 18-month program and is now employed full-time at Amazon. “Participating in this program was life-changing,” Jarrett said. “It helped me get to where I wanted to be professionally and personally in a short amount of time.” And that was just one of many similar examples from this training program.

Amazon’s goal is to provide 29 million people around the world with skills training. Will you be one of these people?
